Description

Late C19th Syrian carved hardwood octagonal table with nacre-shell inlay.
Profusely carved hardwood, probably walnut, octagonal stand or table with inlaid nacre-shell or ‘Mother of Pearl’ detail.
The carved inset panel top inlaid with a central ‘star’ shell design , the open-work octagonal sides and traditional Moorish or Islamic design shaped arches, with corresponding carving , star and circle shell-inlaid details.
In excellent condition, with no losses , damage or repairs .
A practical and decorative table to add glamour and exoticism to an interior.
