Description

Two late C19th/early C20th Italian pietra-dura marble inlaid panels .
Nice quality Florentine pietra-dura marble panels depicting grapes and floral studies. Each retaining a partial paper trade label for the Florence makers of G. Ugolini .
Each panel having coloured marble inlays into a background sheet of Belgio Nero black marble .
Both mounted in gilt-wood frames with moulded profiles .
Since the Renaissance period, Florence , Italy , has been associated with the production of highly skilled marble inlaid pietra-dura or hard-stone works of art .
