Smart quality pair of French late C19th ormolu bronze and white marble cherub candelabras.
Ormolu twin branch candelabras modelled as exultant amorini or cherubs each balanced on one leg , wearing draped loin-cloths holding naturalistic rose and bud branches in each hand . The figures raised on white marble cylindrical columns decorated with ormolu bronze swagged floral garlands and laurel-leaf rings , onto square section plinths with shaped re-entrant corners and a gilded bronze slip base .
The twin candle-holders of each candelabra designed as rose flower-heads, the 'flower-stem' arms cast with leaf and bud decoration .
In excellent original condition with bright, untarnished gilding to the ormolu bronze, and no chips or damage to the marble bases .
