Late C19th French Empire style gilt-brass and tole-peinte table lamp by Hadrot, Paris.
Powerfully-designed Empire-style column lamp with manufacturer's stamp plaque to the side 'Brevette D'Invention , Hadrot Lampiste , Rue des Fosses, Montmartre, No.14 a Paris' .
Deeply-fluted tapering column body with a well-detailed cast capital top and detailed cast ring base . The square stepped plinth base with gilt stiff-leaf classical decoration .
In excellent original condition. Has achieved a good aged patina and finish .
Had been sympathetically rewired using period style cotton-covered flex.
