Pair of early C19th Regency period bronze cassolettes of campana form .
Crisply-cast pair of bronze and gilt-bronze decorated campana urn cassolettes or candlesticks with reversible tops . The classically-inspired vase bodies each fitted with twin miniature handles , onto socle supports with square bases raised on ball feet .
The shaped lids with cast berry finials , reversing to form a turned candleholder with circular drip-pan. The edges of the tops of the bodies with ovolo or "egg and dart" detail, the candlesticks with a conforming band when reversed over . The bodies decorated with a fine band of gilded bronze applied pierced decoration.
Smart pair of bronze cassolettes which have achieved a good chocolate patina , in excellent original condition.
