Late C19th/early C20th Chinese red lacquer decorated 4-door cupboard or cabinet .
Striking Chinese red or crimson lacquer cabinet profusely decorated with figural and landscape scenes together with some calligraphy . Decorative brass-ware fittings , handles and hinges , the larger base cupboard fitted with a shelf . The doors secured closed with wooden peg fittings . The cabinet raised on bracket feet .
Would make an ideal decorative drinks or cocktail cabinet and add glamour and exoticism to an interior scheme.
In as found 'country-house condition ' , with minor chips to the lacquer on corners and base and minor historic repairs, but in good , sound decorative and usable condition.
The cabinet has been cleaned and clear-waxed in our workshops, and the interior has been cleaned and re-finished .
