Description

Early C19th George IV period circular rosewood pedestal lamp , wine or occasional table .
Smart rosewood table of sophisticated design , the circular top raised on a reeded and turned swollen-base column with a carved detail block onto a concave-sided triangular base. The whole raised on 'swirl' carved compressed bun feet.
The well-figured rosewood top with a shallow frieze edge stepped beneath , retaining original surface and finish, having achieved a gently faded patina and colour. Minor historic blemishes and marks commensurate with age , use and purpose.
A useful scale table in excellent original condition.
