Fine quality mid C19th Victorian period burr walnut folding 'Sutherland ' table.
Beautifully figured Circassian burr walnut veneered folding 'Sutherland' table on a carved base . The book-matched veneered top and folding leaves of striking grain and figuring . The well-carved base raised on original porcelain castors , the ends with finely turned finial details.
Highly desirable and figured Circassian walnut is from the Eastern Mediterranean and Asia , and prized for its quality .
In excellent original condition with no damage or repairs. Minor historic scratches to top commensurate with age and use . Superb rich colour and patina. Has been waxed and cleaned in our workshops.
