Interesting late C19th 'Black Forest' carved linden wood table with naturalistically carved base.
Circular topped occasional or lamp table with naturalistic carved tree trunk column on to a carved floral and foliage carved base with a carved edge and triple scroll feet .
The top with a burr grain and minor crackulature to the original patina . The base in excellent original condition retaining its original polish and patination.
Smart eccentric table produced in Switzerland or Southern Germany probably for the tourist market . The generic term 'Black Forest' refers to this genre of carved linden ware.
