Description

Pair of early C20th Chinese carved white marble Temple Guardian Lion Dogs.
Well-carved decorative pair of white marble mythical Lion Dogs or Dogs of Fo. Traditionally seated outside Temples as guardians, the pair are modelled as male and female raised on rectangular block bases.
In excellent original condition with no chips, breaks , damage or repairs. Minor discolouration from handling.
Smart and exotic mantelpiece decoration.
