Late C19th Chinese Qing Dynasty carved hardwood /'hongmu' cabinet with fitted interior.
Exceptionally high quality single-door free-standing cabinet/cupboard with a relief-carved panelled door , carved sides and top . Raised on squat carved dragon's claw feet . The locking door with carved relief detail of bamboo . All surfaces carved with various panels depicting other auspicious Chinese symbolic plants such as prunus and pine .
The interior fitted with 3 deep drawers with integral carved handles , shelves and hanging compartments. The door with carved knob and fitted with lock and key.
The build-quality, grade of quality chosen high-grade timber and weight of the cabinet cannot be over-stated.
Excellent original condition with a rich patina and colour. The rear with vertical shrinkage join to carved panel along the central joint .
