Description

Early C20th brass-framed inlaid marquetry top coffee table on 'faux' bamboo style base.
Smart 'sun-burst' design mahogany and satinwood panel-top table , the large 'fanned' oval with a central patera and spandrels to the corners , fitted with a plate glass top protector, and raised upon a lacquered brass base of faux bamboo design . Shaped inverted end frame with lateral stretcher supports. The brass base has an aged patina , and matches the colour of the brass surround of the top panel .
The panel being of late C18th George III period origin , and had been mounted into this bespoke ,'made-to-measure' brass base during the first part of the C20th.
Would complement a period style room setting , providing a practical and decorative low centre or coffee table .
