Early C19th Regency period satinwood and ebony sewing casket or box of sarcophagus form.
A remarkably mint example of an early C19th ladies sewing box . Mounted upon gilt-brass claw feet ,the figured satinwood body with ebony stringing and ebony tablet to the centre of the lid and ebony banded lower base section .
The interior with original red-lined lid and body ,with a lift-out sectioned tray with original crimson silk padded base and integral handle.
Fitted with a brass lock and supplied with key.
Excellent colour and patina.
