Description

Fine quality late C19th French gilt-brass framed miniature agate casket.
Beautifully-crafted rectangular agate casket or stamp-box with intricately cast filigree style frame-work . The loose bevelled agate panel lid with a cast classical fruiting-berry finial or knob . The ends cast with miniature anthemion motif decoration to the frame-work . The beaded frame surround standing upon miniature bracket feet. The base of the casket cast with an open trellis pattern gilded brass panel .
A wonderful bijou 'objet de virtu' in excellent original condition with no cracks, damage , losses or repairs .
