Description

Pair of late C19th/early C20th Middle Eastern , probably Egyptian or "Cairo-ware", over-scaled embossed brass bulbous lamp-bases.
Dramatic pair of heavily-worked bulbous exaggerated bottle-form lamp-bases , which have acquired a highly-decorative light verdigris patina , with gilded brass highlights showing through. The whole bodies with elaborate embossed floral or paisley-style decoration, raised upon shaped circular foot-rims .
In good condition, with minor historic dents . Fitted with turned wooden teak caps to the tops .
Great decorative statements to bring an exotic and theatrical addition to an interior scheme.
Can be rewired to client's specification.
