Description

Early C20th leather-bound folding games board modelled as 2 volumes of books .
Smart 'faux' books folding games board , the exterior tooled as a chequers/chess grid , whilst the interior is marked for back-gammon . Embossed and tooled on spines with "English Games" and " Vols 1 & 2 " . The ends finished with 'marbled' paper.
In faded 'country-house' condition , with wear commensurate with age and use. Crucially the hinged section is in good strong working order.
Complete with 2 conical leather dice shakers , dice , draughts and backgammon pieces. Also contains game instructions of the period.
Useful games board with eclectic 'faux' book bindings .
