C19th George II revival style mahogany and parcel-gilt fret carved mirror . Faithfully produced copy of a mid C18th Georgian mirror with fret carved outline , 'swan-neck' broken-arch pediment and parcel-gilt details. Shaped incised parcel-gilt slip/surround. Well-carved giltwood appliqués to the uprights with flower-head and leaf detail .
Good clear plate with minor defects adding to the period feel .
Panelled back with old furniture repository label attached.
Minor loss of colour to small areas of mahogany veneer , but of good colour and patina with no losses to carving or parcel-gilt detail.
