C19th George IV period simulated 'faux' rosewood open bookcase/side cabinet with parcel-gilt decoration and painted wooden simulated 'faux' porphyry marble top. Highly decorative open-shelved side cabinet with all-over painted grain simulated "rosewood" decoration . The columnar uprights with parcel-gilt stiff-leaf decoration, the rear flat pilasters with gilded decoration . The top with well-executed painted and simulated Eygptian porphyry marble top . Four-panel back and with rounded-corner plinth base.
In good original condition ,with wear commensurate with age and use.
