Description

Early C19th French Charles X period ormolu bronze Empire design lamp-base. Superior quality cast gilt-bronze reeded column lamp with finely detailed ornamentation. The base raised upon well-defined 'Lion's paw' feet ,stiff-leaf decoration and classically-inspired motifs .
*A pair of colza lamps with similar bases can be found located upon the marble fire surround in the Pompeiian Room at Ickworth Park , Suffolk .
Excellent colour and condition ,having been professionally cleaned .

The base with inset cast-iron plate beneath to aid stability.
Can be re-wired to clients specification .
