Description

Late C19th walnut console table with inset marble top in the early Georgian period revival style. Raised on shaped cabriole supports with c-scroll carving , upon pad feet. Moulded-edge surround to the removable inset highly-figured variegated marble slab top. The frieze with well-figured cross-grain veneers , and constructed in free-standing form having been finished on all sides. A well-executed copy of an important early C18th George I period console or pier table.
Excellent condition throughout with a good rich patina .
Useful table of practical scale and proportions suitable for a variety of purposes , whether as a hall/console table, centre-table or drinks table.
