Description

Late C19th/early C20th carved mahogany stool in mid C18th Georgian period style. Well-executed copy of a mid C18th Chippendale-style cabriole-leg dressing stool , standing on 'claw-and-ball' feet. The bold cabriole legs with acanthus-leaf carving and 'c' scroll detail. Of oblong form , the frieze with shaped rail , and fitted with an embroidered floral tapestry drop-in seat.
Excellent condition , strong ,robust design and construction . Quality mahogany timber which has achieved a good rich colour and patina.
Cleaned and waxed ready to use.
