Description

Late C19th/early C20th 'cold-painted' cast bronze and brass fox-head ink-well. Great desk-top accessory for the field-sports aficionado , a well-modelled and naturalistically-painted bronze fox-head lidded ink-well ,fitted with original glass liner. The base decorated with a riding crop , whip and stirrup . The edge of the base cast with an oak-leaf /acorn design.
In good original 'Country House' condition , minor wear to painted decoration.
Provenance: formerly the property of a Gloucestershire Master of Foxhounds.
