Description

Late C18th George III period inlaid rosewood double tea caddy. Finely figured rosewood tea caddy with satinwood banding , oval medallions inlaid with floral designs to top and front. The interior fitted with 2 compartments with original twin lids and knobs .
With original steel key.
The term caddy deriving from the Chinese word "Kati " which was the measure of weight used in the tea industry.
Of good colour and in totally original condition .
