Description

Pair of C18th provincially-made 'country Chippendale' type alder-wood side/hall-chairs. Great rich patina and colour ,shaped cresting rails with pierced and shaped splats with inverted heart-shape pierced decoration to base. The solid seats with a moulded edge , of wonderful colour and glow. Square-section legs with an 'H' stretcher. Good original condition with no breaks or repairs . Minor evidence of historic wood-worm.
