Set of 6 mid-Victorian period mahogany dining chairs . Quality set of cabriole-leg ,'crown'-back dining chairs with 'drop-on' pegged upholstered seats. Well-carved scrolls to top of legs, shaped seats with moulded edges. The 'crown' shaped top-rails with carved details , the lumbar-support splat with carved scroll detail. Top-grade timber which has a nice faded patina to the top-rails and the original polished finish . One very old professional repair to rear leg of one chair , which does not compromise the strength or functionality. Clean ,usable upholstery.
