Late C19th Chinese Qing Dynasty heavily carved hardwood/'hongmu' barrel stand or garden seat. Finely carved open-sided 'barrel'type table, with prunus, bird and flower-head decoration. Shaped cross-over x-framed carved sides with carved chrysanthemum head 'boss' centre. Carved flower-head border top and edge, the whole raised on miniature ogee-section feet. Great mellow/faded colour top , all in excellent original condition. H 20" x Dia. 14". China c.1890.
