Early C20th Chinese 'ancestors' watercolour drawing in lacquered frame . Well-painted watercolour of handsome male and female ancestral subjects in formal /ceremonial costume ,seated on throne chairs upon a vibrantly woven carpet .
With a six-fold screen behind decorated with Manchurian cranes in a landscape, whose presence symbolise luck,longevity and fidelity in Chinese culture.
Good bright colours and finely painted on pithe paper with an embossed silk mount and gilt border.
Nice quality green/brown lacquer frame with decorative brass hanging brackets.
(At present is mounted behind non-reflective glass which could be altered.)
