Late C19th Chinese carved hardwood/rosewood marble-top jardiniere stand. Good large-scale hongmu stand with intricately-carved entwined 'simulated bamboo' design , the circular top with rouge/pink inset marble. Bamboo being highly symbolic in Chinese culture, representing strength ,simplicity and longevity .Cross-stretcher base connecting quadruple shaped supports, completely carved in finely detailed 'bamboo' decoration .Excellent quality and condition. H 35.5" x Dia. 15". China c. 1890
