Pair early C20th mahogany brass-bound military campaign-style bedside chests. Very heavy quality solid mahogany pair of two-drawer chests with quality cast-brass recessed handles , brass corners ,strapping and carrying handles to the sides. Extremely well-made and useful pair of chests in the style of military campaign portable furniture, built to last . Good solid linings with dove-tailed drawer fronts. 'Scratch-moulded' cock-beading decoration to drawer fronts, and raised on bracket feet. Nice colour timber with some artificial aging to point to the origins of their design and use. H 23" x W 18" x D 18" . England c. 1920
