C19th mahogany étagère/what-not with gallery top . George IV period after a Gillows of Lancaster design. Fitted with a mahogany-lined and quarter dust-beaded drawer to base with turned knobs, and pierced gilt-brass gallery surround to top tier. Three platforms with 'spindle' turned sides , standing on compressed and ribbed bun feet with concealed brass castors. Great original condition and wonderful grade of timber which has mellowed and faded to rich honey colour. A truly top-quality piece of cabinet-making . Would make a stylish drinks/lamp table or magazine/book rack .
