Stunning quality with makers mark punch 'star' stamps for Matthew Boulton & Co , the pioneers and best exponents of production of this highly-prized early "Sheffield Plate" wares .Fantastic original condition with inset silver panel with armorial crest/hatchment and motto "Fortitudine Vincit" (Strength Conquers).Fine pineapple finial , gadrooning and cast feet and ivory knop to tap .H 18 " W 16".
